Why Stainless Steel?

Grey iron is the traditional material for stock cylinder sleeves. It is versatile and holds hardness well, but it is limited in toughness and tensile strength. Stainless steel sleeves offer higher tensile strength, better resistance to fatigue stress and improved corrosion resistance — which makes them the preferred choice for high-output, high-temperature and marine applications where a grey iron sleeve would reach its limit.

Compared with aluminium liners, stainless steel offers a higher heat transfer rate and greater durability under sustained load.
