Sleeve Liners for Compressor and Industrial Applications

Centrifugally cast sleeves for reciprocating compressors, HVAC and special-purpose machinery

Jaidarshan Indocraft Pvt. Ltd. manufactures centrifugally cast sleeve liners for industrial equipment that needs a replaceable running surface — principally reciprocating compressors, HVAC and refrigeration systems, and special-purpose machinery built to customer specification.

Looking for automotive, tractor or commercial vehicle sleeves? See Engine Cylinder Sleeves.

Where Industrial Sleeve Liners Are Used

Reciprocating compressorsAmmonia, freon, air and gas compressors
HVAC and refrigerationCompressor liners for cooling and process refrigeration plant
Special-purpose machineryIndustrial equipment manufactured to customer drawing or sample

Our compressor liners are listed in the Compressor Parts catalogue, with sizes and part numbers.

Why Fit a Replaceable Sleeve?

A sleeve liner is a cylindrical insert that provides the running surface for the piston and rings, and protects the cylinder body from heat, friction and wear.

When a bore wears beyond its service limit, fitting a new sleeve restores the equipment at a fraction of the cost of replacing the cylinder body — and keeps machinery in service that would otherwise be scrapped. For older or obsolete equipment no longer supported by its original maker, a replacement sleeve is often the only option available.

Materials and Grades

Grey cast ironStandard grade for general compressor and industrial service
SG (ductile) ironHigher tensile strength and impact resistance
Low-carbon steelWhere toughness is the priority
Stainless steelCorrosion resistance and high-temperature service
Ni-ResistCorrosive and elevated-temperature applications

Irons are alloyed with molybdenum, nickel, chromium and vanadium to improve wear and corrosion resistance. Every heat is verified on a Hitachi Foundry-Master Smart 2 spectrometer in our in-house laboratory before casting is released.

Made to Your Drawing or Sample

Send us a drawing, a physical sample, or the original part number. Where equipment is obsolete and no drawing survives, we can manufacture directly from the worn component.

Sleeves are finished on CNC, VMC and VTL machines, then ground and honed in-house, with cross-hatch honing applied to specification.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between a sleeve liner and a cylinder liner?
The terms describe the same component. “Liner” is more common in Europe and Asia, “sleeve” in North America.

Can you make a sleeve for obsolete equipment?
Yes. Send the worn part and we will manufacture a replacement from it, even without an original drawing.

Which material should I choose?
Grey cast iron suits most compressor duty. For corrosive gases or high temperatures, stainless steel or Ni-Resist is usually the better choice. Send us your operating conditions and we will advise.

What is the minimum order?
100 pieces per size.
