In-House Metallurgy Laboratory
Every heat is verified before casting is released
| Optical emission spectrometer | Hitachi Foundry-Master Smart 2 — full chemical composition of each melt, all ferrous grades |
| Metallurgical microscope | Graphite structure, microstructure phases and nodularity |
| Hardness testing | Verification against grade specification |
| Surface roughness tester | Bore finish and honing cross-hatch verification |
Material grades are produced and verified to IS 210, IS 1865, ASTM A48, EN-GJL and EN-GJS series. Special alloys of specified grade are purchased against defined input standards and checked on arrival. All instruments are calibrated by certified agencies under our ISO 9001:2015 system.
Quality Control System
Producing a quality product is straightforward. Delivering it consistently is the discipline.
A dedicated team of qualified engineers maintains inspection at every stage of the manufacturing cycle, from raw material through to finished product.
| Stage | What is checked |
|---|---|
| Incoming material | Alloy grade and composition against purchase specification |
| Molten metal | Spectrometer analysis before pouring |
| After casting | Visual inspection for blow holes, cracks and inclusions |
| Machining | Purpose-made jigs and fixtures acting as go / no-go gauges |
| Final | Dimensional inspection, bore tolerance ± 0.03 mm, surface finish and honing cross-hatch |
| Pre-dispatch | Single-piece visual and dimensional inspection, export packing check |
Documentation and evaluation of every important manufacturing step — from material composition to final inspection before dispatch — ensures we consistently produce parts meeting international standards.
Process Quality
Design and development of new products is routed through APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning), integrated into manufacturing through:
- Process monitoring and operating instructions
- Control plans and checklists
- Set-up approval
- Process capability evaluation
