What Is Centrifugal Casting?
Centrifugal casting is a process in which molten metal is poured into a mould rotating at up to 3,000 RPM. Centrifugal force drives the metal against the mould wall and displaces lighter impurities inward, where they are removed during machining. The result is a uniform grain structure throughout the wall thickness.
Castings produced this way are:
- Denser and structurally uniform
- Free from porosity, blow holes and sand inclusions
- Stronger and longer-lasting than sand-cast equivalents

What is centrifugal casting?
